You spent years getting good at something. Now you can't tell what it's worth.

You have the experience. This is the conversation that shows where you go next.

The conversation

This is not a form. It's not a quiz. It's the kind of conversation a sharp career person would have with you in person, the questions that surface what you're good at, including what you've stopped seeing in yourself, and show you where you could go next.

Why this exists

Most of us picked a career direction young, before we really knew ourselves, and then spent years focused on making it work. It is rare, in a career, that we get to stop, take a breath, and ask the real questions about what we want next. What do I want? What am I good at that I have stopped noticing? What is out there that could meet me where I am now?

You have spent a career building skills, surviving change, learning things about yourself you have never stopped to name. Then the ground shifts, or you wake up one day and realise you cannot remember the last time anyone asked you what you actually want.

Career Convoy is the sit-down you have never had. A real conversation about what you've done, what lights you up, and what is out there that could meet you where you are now.

For a while now, a lot of capable people have been told the same thing in a hundred quiet ways. That their experience counts for less than it used to. That the years behind them are a liability, not an asset. Enough of them have started to believe it.

I have spent more than a decade sitting across from experienced people at exactly that moment, in rooms where careers turn. What I saw, over and over, was the gap between what someone could actually do and what they were able to say about themselves. The ability was intact. The language for it had gone missing in a world that changed shape underneath them.

I built Career Convoy to put that conversation within reach of anyone who needs it. Then I ran myself through it. It showed me something I didn't realise I was capable of, a direction I'd have talked myself out of before, and I'm building on it now. I didn't expect that from a thing I'd made myself.

Your place

This is one of the few places in your working life that is built entirely around you, and not around who is hiring. That is the whole point.

You can be honest here. You can think out loud. You can say the thing you have not said to anyone, and work out what it means.

Common questions

What is Career Convoy?

Career Convoy is an AI-guided career conversation for experienced professionals. You speak with Scout, who asks the kinds of questions you would not think to ask yourself, and you come out seeing yourself more clearly, with real directions for where it could go next and the words to talk about them.

Who is it for?

If you have fifteen or more years behind you and the next move is not obvious from where you are standing, this is for you. It does not matter what industry you are in or what your title says. What matters is that your experience is real and you cannot quite see where it goes next.

Does it work for my industry?

Yes. Career Convoy is built for any professional with fifteen or more years of career experience, across any sector. The conversation goes deep into what you have done, not the industry label.

Why not just use ChatGPT or Claude?

A general AI will answer anything you put to it. The catch is that it waits for you to know what to ask, and the whole problem here is that you can't yet see the questions. Career Convoy asks them for you, drawn from what you say as you say it, and stays with you until something lands that you couldn't have reached on your own.

How long does Discovery take?

Plan for around two hours. You can pause whenever and pick up where you left off.

Why $199?

Because of what happens after Discovery. Scout works out directions you may never have arrived at on your own, drawn from everything you've shared rather than a generic list, and stays with it until one pulls at you. Then Direction Testing: the day to day, the career progression, what the move would actually ask of you, so you find out whether it's worth investing in before you commit. One payment, no subscription, and what you walk away with is yours.

Is this Australian-specific?

Yes. Salary bands, role types, and hiring norms are built for the Australian context, not American advice translated, which most of what's online still is.

What if the directions don't fit me?

Scout goes back. The conversation probes deeper into what didn't connect, looks again at what you already said, and recuts. Rejection of a direction is treated as information, not a problem.

What if it's not for me?

If you go through the whole thing and it didn't deliver, email me and I'll refund you. I'd rather you have your money back than feel you paid for something that missed.

Who built it?

Robbie Byrne. I run Numinous, a retained executive search firm in Melbourne. For more than a decade I have sat across from experienced people who could do far more than they could say about themselves, and helped them see what that actually is and where it could go. Career Convoy is that conversation, made available to anyone who needs it.

What does Career Convoy know about me?

Only what you tell Scout in the conversation, plus the email you sign up with. Career Convoy doesn't pull your name, your LinkedIn, or anything from the internet. Your conversation is stored securely under your account, not shared with employers, recruiters, or anyone else. You'll find our full privacy policy below.

You already know more about yourself than you can currently say. You have just never had the right conversation to get it out.
